The reason I use only triangles when creating Pornigami is because my original vision was inspired by the folds of an origami crane. I wanted to make a folded woman with all of the natural softness of the female form yet constructed from the hardest edged geometry. The textures that my triangles encompass are 100 to 200 year old Japanese E-hon, the first picture books basically. This means that you'll find japanese text as well as stories of ancient samurai and geisha within my triangles. These act as tattoos that wrap the female form but also add the feel and texture of the washi paper that origami is folded with. The only place you won't find triangles in my art is in the clothing that my beautiful ladies occasionally wear. I only print with archival inks on 310 GSM 100% Cotton Hahnemuehle William Turned Fine Art Paper. This paper is extremely thick, beautifully textured and has an organic natural white colour.
